About Us
Since 2006, Yuvsatta (Youth for Peace) has been dedicated to promoting a culture of peace, nonviolence, and sustainable development through various impactful initiatives. Among our most remarkable endeavors is the annual Global Youth Peace Festival (GYPF), a dynamic platform for young minds to come together, engage in meaningful discussions, and develop strategies to address global challenges.
Global Youth Peace Festival (GYPF)
Recognizing that young people are the architects of the new world order, Yuvsatta launched the Global Youth Peace Festival to empower youth worldwide to understand the issues facing their communities and focus their energy on creating sustainable solutions. The GYPF has grown into a significant global event, with previous editions held in Malaysia in 2022 and Sri Lanka in 2023. We plan to organize the festival in as many different countries as possible in the years to come, spreading the message of peace and nonviolence worldwide.
Why GYPF?
Networking Opportunities: Participants can connect with global leaders and peers who share their passion for social change.
Leadership Development: The festival provides specialized workshops and mentorship to enhance leadership skills.
Cultural Exchange: Engage in cross-cultural dialogue and broaden your global perspective.
Inspiration and Empowerment: GYPF inspires and empowers youth to take meaningful action in their communities.
Practical Tools: Learn conflict resolution and peacebuilding strategies to address global challenges effectively.
Support for Global Goals: Through GYPF, participants contribute to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Our Broader Initiatives
Beyond GYPF, Yuvsatta has successfully initiated several other programs aimed at fostering peace, unity, and social justice:
Campaign for Peace-Cities: Over the past fifteen years, we have established over 100 Peace Clubs in schools and colleges across Chandigarh, Panchkula, and SAS Nagar (Mohali), promoting nonviolence among thousands of young minds.
1 INDIA Campaign: This initiative emphasizes religious and ethnic harmony, national unity, and efficient governance, engaging young students in activities that foster brotherhood, friendship, and love.
Power of 1 Rupee: In collaboration with local schools, this campaign encourages students to contribute small amounts of money regularly to support programs empowering marginalized communities and fostering a habit of caring and helping others.
Girls India Project: We have formed 55 Girls Parliaments in major schools and colleges in Chandigarh, engaging over 100,000 girl students in promoting their rights and dignity.
